Draft Council Plan ready for feedback
Thursday 8 June 2017
The Council is calling on the community to provide feedback on the draft Council Plan 2017 – 2021.
Every four years councils across Victoria must develop a four year plan that identifies key priorities, projects and the best use of Council resources.
The Council held a number of open house sessions in March and April this year, in which more than 200 people provided feedback, gave ideas and suggestions.
The Council has now developed a draft plan and is inviting feedback.
Three open house sessions will be held.
Monday 19 June 5.30 to 7 pm Thoona Memorial Hall
Saturday 24 June 10 to 11.30 am Sir Edward "Weary" Dunlop Learning Centre
Monday 26 June 5.30 to 7 pm Baddaginnie Jubilee Hall
The community can also provide feedback via an online survey and can view the draft Council Plan after 13 June 2017 at various locations including:
Customer Service Centre
Sir Edward "Weary Dunlop" Learning Centre
Benalla Performing Arts and Convention Centre
Benalla Art Gallery
Ray Sweeney Community Care Centre

Mayor, Cr Don Firth said the Council Plan is the document that guides the decisions and actions of the Council for the next four years, so community feedback is very important.
“My fellow Councillors and I have spent considerable time developing this draft document in response to the input we have received.
“I ask that as many people as possible provide feedback in whatever way they can,” Cr Firth said.
Feedback can be received until 12 July 2017.
