The Benalla Town Hall was constructed as the Municipal Chambers and Shire Hall in 1883 and is located in Nunn Street.
Refurbishments to this heritage listed building include heating and cooling, floor restoration, painting, and the contribution of furniture supplied from the Parliament of Victoria and the gift from Philip Bacon of “Bacchantes” a painting by Julian Rossi Ashton.
All these refurbishments have contributed to a wonderful transformation which have greatly enhanced this 'Grand Old Lady.'
The Auditorium holds a maximum of 250 people and can be utilised for a variety of events. The acoustics are very good within the hall and lighting and a sound system are available for use.
