Unable to Pay by Due Date
Council encourages ratepayers to comply with the due dates for payment, however if difficulties are encountered, contact the the Council on 0357 602600 to arrange an acceptable weekly/fortnightly or monthly payment plan.

It will be recommended that a Direct Debit plan be put in place to enable your rates and charges to paid within the current financial year. This facility can then continue for future years to assist with your ongoing rating commitments.

Direct Debit Facility
For your convenience a direct debit facility can be set up to allow the payment of your four (4) instalments or to cater for your regular progressive part payments - ie weekly, fortnightly or monthly, to suit your needs.

Every assistance is provided to ensure that the payment of rates is made as convenient as possible and fits with your financial capacity to pay.

Pension Concessions
For the 2012/13 year, a State Government concession of up to a maximum of $198.00 (last year $193.40) is available to eligible pensioners on their principal place of residence.

To access this rebate, the applicant must hold either:
- a current Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink or the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
- a current Gold Card issued by the DVA (specifying TPI or War Widows)

Pensioners who have previously applied for and granted the concession will have the rebate automatically included on their rate notice each year. For new Pensioners, an application form needs to be completed and eligible concession cards verified at the Council office. Pensioner whose eligibility ceases must immediately advise Council.

The Council funded concession of $50 which was introduced in the 2011/12 year to eligible pensioners to offset the increase in the Municipal Charge, has not been provided in 2012/13 as the Municipal Charge has been reduced from $291 to $200.
