This seminar is brought to you by the Victorian Active Ageing Partnership (VAAP). The VAAP is a Victorian government initiative that aims to increase physical activity opportunities for older Victorians, especially those experiencing socio-economic disadvantage, isolation and loneliness and those not currently involved in physical activity.

Who should attend?

Staff and volunteers involved in the delivery of physical activity opportunities (including active recreation and sport) for older people. Staff, managers and volunteers from a range of settings and organisations including community health, fitness/leisure, sport, local government, neighbourhood houses, U3As amongst others, are encouraged to attend. Professional development points & continuing education credits are being sought from Physical Activity Australia and Fitness Australia.

Seminar Purpose

To inform staff and volunteers of various strategies and tools to assist them in their work engaging older people in physical activity. The seminar will also promote local information-sharing and networking.

This seminar is free, but a $50 cancellation fee applies to those who register and don't attend.
