Did you know that all cats and dogs over the age of three months living in the Benalla Rural City need to be microchipped and registered with the Council?

Under The Domestic Animals Act 1994, the Council has a Domestic Animal Management Plan that promotes responsible pet ownership in Benalla Rural City.

This includes pet registration, effective control of dogs within public areas, microchipping and de-sexing.
