Thank you to all the community members who took the time to complete our Age Friendly Communities survey. The project was promoted by 25 community volunteers who helped to collect a record number of surveys.

The Age Friendly Communities project, auspiced by Cooinda, is supported by Benalla Rural City Council and the Central Hume Primary Care Partnership (CHPCP) and overseen by a committed steering committee comprised of partner organisations and community volunteers.

More than 380 surveys were collected over just four weeks from Benalla Rural City. The survey was designed using a tool developed by the World Health Organisation and adapted for a rural setting. Survey findings will inform Stage 2 of the $100,000 project, which will ultimately fund projects that increase the age-friendliness of our urban and rural communities.
