| Meals on Wheels provides hot appetising and culturally appropriate three course meals packaged in foil containers, delivered to elderly people in their own homes by volunteers. Meals are delivered five days a week, with weekend services available for people just out of hospital. Meals are cooked at Benalla Hospital and dietary meals are catered for. A charge is made per meal.
A team of dedicated volunteers deliver the meals daily in Benalla. Main meals and desserts are packaged in hygienic foil containers and recipients are asked to provide a cup or bowl ready for soup delivery.
No meal will be left if you are absent during the usual meal delivery time. If you intend being absent, you must make prior arrangements with your Meals on Wheels Coordinator. Please telephone the administration centre on 5761 2250.
Meals will arrive at your home between 11.30am and 12.30pm.
Centre Based meals
Community meals are served at Benalla Senior Citizens Community Facility each Thursday. Bookings must be phoned in by 9.00 am on Wednesday to the Senior Citizens Centre by telephoning: 03 5762 2643
