Acclaimed national and international Beatles tribute band Rubber Soul will be celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the Beatles’ Australian tour in Benalla next month.
Audiences and Beatles enthusiasts will be blown away by the faithful re-creation of the “Fab Four,” featuring full Sergeant Pepper costumes and authentic instruments, said Jilian Mulally, Manager Arts, Communications and Events for Benalla Rural City Council.
“Rubber Soul made their television debut on the highly rated ABC television show ‘Spicks and Specks’ which resulted in enquiries about them from all over Australia,” Ms Mulally said.
They will perform hits including She Loves You, I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Hard Days Night, Hey Jude, Ticket to Ride, and many more during their two hour tribute show at the Benalla Performing Arts & Convention Centre (BPACC) on Thursday 13 March at 8pm.
Rubber Soul’s Tribute Show is just one performance in BPACC’s tenth anniversary season, which is offering a diverse program of musicals, music concerts, theatre performance and play readings.
“This is a big year for BPACC, with the long awaited digital projector being installed in the Cinema in March.and a major refurbishment about to commence,” Ms Mulally said.
Ticket prices for Rubber Soul are $35 for adults, $31 for seniors, $29 concession, BPACC members $27 and children under 12 $19.
