The 24 hour public toilet block under the Sir Edward “Weary” Dunlop Learning Centre has been damaged by fire in a suspected vandalism attack, and the Council is asking visitors and residents for patience while repairs are undertaken.

The incident took place overnight on Monday 6 July and Victoria Police is investigating.

The repairs may take some weeks to complete. The women’s toilets in the Learning Centre will also be closed for one or two days while plumbing repairs related to the fire are carried out.

Alternative 24 hour toilet facilities are available at the Botanical Gardens in Bridge Street.
