12 May: Rural Fire Tales - local documentary screens 14 May  Printer Friendly

Join us on 14 May at the Tatong Memorial Hall for the screening of Rural Fire Tales, a local documentary.

The film Rural Fire tales was more than twelve months in the making. It features interviews with 43 people affected by the Lake Rowan and Stewarton fires of December 2014.

These interviews took place between four and twelve weeks after the fires. The ages of those interviewed ranged from two to 78.

It is the story of the fire and the continuing recovery from their point of view. It is a deeply personal film of resilience in action.

The screening will be followed by entertainment form Sal Kimber and the Rollin’ Wheel, who provided the soundtrack for the film.

Doors open at 5.30pm. Food and soft drinks are available. Tickets are free but limited.
