| Organised by Benalla Rural City Council in partnership with Sustainability Victoria, the Detox Your Home program helps residents dispose of their old and unwanted chemicals in an environmentally responsible way.
Benalla Rural City residents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to rid their homes of unwanted household chemicals for free.
On Saturday 6th December 2008, residents can take their household chemicals for safe disposal to the Council car park in Fawckner Drive between 1pm and 4pm.
To cater for rural residents in the municipality, two drumMUSTERS held each year in May and October. All farm chemical users are encouraged to bring their empty, property cleaned, non-returnable steel and plastic farm chemical containers to the facility for inspection and collection. Phone bookings (03) 5760 2600 are necessary for a delivery time and to ensure that an inspector is available.
The next DrumMUSTER will be held on 15 October 2008 at the Benalla Landfill, Old Farnley Road, Benalla.
