Benalla Carers & Parents Support Group for Children with Special Needs
A self-help group of parents and adult children with special needs, concerned with the rights and needs of disabled adult children and their families. This group is part of a network of Parent Support Groups across Victoria. The mission is to assist people with an intellectual disability to have a varied, fulfilled and supported lifestyle by providing relevant and accessible Information, Support, Referral and Advocacy services to Parents and Carers of people aged over 18 years with an intellectual or dual disability. The group are not professionals but parents with adult children who have a variety of disabilities. Monthly meetings are held the first Monday of each month 10am - 12.30pm at 23 Carrier St Benalla.
