Barbara and her husband Rand operated several businesses from their Benalla base for over 16 years. Barbara has been active in the disability field in Benalla founding the Benalla Support Group for Children with Special Needs in the early 80’s and had roles on school council, Ballendella (Central Access) and was President of Benalla and District Hospital for 5 years. Barbara has often participated as a community member on Benalla Rural City Advisory Committees and events. Barbara is a keen walker and loves the Lake Benalla Precinct as it really typifies what Benalla citizens have done over the years to make Benalla a special place. Barbara loves reading and following the Essendon Football Club. Barbara represents Council on the following committees: Benalla Botanical Gardens & Riverine Parklands Advisory Committee Economic Development Advisory Committee Editorial Advisory Committee Benalla Tourism Advisory Committee Benalla Community Care Centre Board of Management Benalla Youth Service Providers Network
