Pat has lived in Benalla since 1976 and together with husband Danny owns and operates an automotive business. Pat has always taken an active role in the educational and leisure activities of her four daughters and has held executive positions on school boards, sporting bodies and welfare organisations. In 1996 she was awarded Life Membership of the Benalla Netball Association.
Pat was elected to Benalla Rural City Council in 2003 and served as Mayor from 2006 to 2008. She currently chairs Council’s Finance and Operations Committee, the Benalla Airport Committee and the Benalla and District Community Taskforce on disadvantage. She is a keen advocate for the advancement of women and has recently taken on the role of secretary of the North East Local Government Women’s Network.
Pat is committed to providing equality of access and opportunity for all and believes that this can best be achieved by promoting sustainable economic development, getting residents involved in grass roots community planning, and encouraging life-long learning especially through the provision of adequate library facilities.
She is a keen reader, tennis and scrabble player and has recently taken up the challenges of golf.
