| ROAD MANAGEMENT PLAN
Pursuant to Section 54 of the Road Management Act 2004, the Benalla Rural City Council has adopted a Road Management Plan (RMP).
The purpose of the RMP is to
• Establish a management system for the road management functions of a road authority (Benalla Rural City Council) which is based on policy and operational objectives and available resources
• To set the relevent standard in relation to the discharge of duties in the performance of road management functions
Inspection of Document
The current adopted (July 1, 2009) RMP can be downloaded from this web site or may be inspected at the Benalla Civic Centre, Fawckner Drive, or the Benalla Library, Nunn Street, BENALLA Vic. 3672.
Downloaded copies of documents are regarded as being current only as at the day of downloading. As the Register of Public Roads may be upgraded regularly, attached document may not necessarily be current register. Refer date shown at bottom of page of road register listings for relationship to current date. Updated copies will be placed on this web site however, copies may be obtained at any time upon request at the Benalla Civic Centre.
Review of Road Management Plan
Under the Road Management Act 2004 (“the Act”) and Section 301 of the Road Management (General) Regulations 2005, Benalla Rural City Council is required to review the RMP at intervals approved by the Minister responsible for the Act.
The next review of the RMP under this requirement is due to commence 1 January 2012 and be completed by 30 June 2013.
Council may review the RMP at any other time subject to Section 54 of the Act.
