Meals on Wheels
Benalla Rural City Council provides a Meals on Wheels service.
The meals are freshly cooked daily at Benalla Health. We cater for special dietary requirements, including diabetic, low fat, low cholesterol, soft foods and vegetarian meals. We prepare culturally appropriate meals and can cater for special cultural needs.
The meals are appetising and nutritious. Three courses are provided, including soup, main course and sweets. You also get a weekly Vitamin C supplement.
Benalla Rural City Council Meals on Wheels Service provide appetising and culturally appropriate meals five days a week, within the town boundaries. A weekend service is available when you have just been discharged from hospital or if it has been identified to meet your needs.
If you live outside Benalla township boundaries, frozen meals well be made available for pick-up from Benalla Community Care.
A team of dedicated volunteers deliver meals five times a week to people who live in town.
Your meal should arrive at your home between 11.30am and 12.30pm. If you aren’t home, we won’t be able to leave your meal for you. Be sure to tell us if you’re going to be away and we’ll suspend your service until you’re back.
If you live out of town, you can pick up frozen meals from Community Care, 45 Coster Street, Benalla.
