The Victorian Government has made changes to disability parking to create an easier and fairer system for all.

The new Accessible Parking Permit (APP) Scheme streamlines the application process, making it simpler and consistent across the state.

The new permit also will better align with the COAG 2010 Australian Disability Parking Permit Scheme (ADPS), making sure Victorian permits are recognised across the country.

Existing permits can be used until their expiry date. When you do need to apply for a new permit, you will need to apply with the new application process.

If you don't have access to the internet or aren't comfortable online, a carer can help you with it. A paper-based version of the application is available but is only for people with no access to a mobile phone. The online process provides a faster outcome.
