Funding available for landholders to control weeds
Published on 10 December 2020
Funding is available to Benalla Rural City rural landholders to treat and control the spread of weeds and reduce their competition to native vegetation.
This program is funded by the Australian Government and is for chemicals to treat and manage weeds and Agricultural Chemical User Permit (ACUP) training.
The Council is working with the Gecko CLaN Landcare Network to deliver the program.
Mayor, Cr Danny Claridge encouraged landholders to apply.
“This funding provides a very good opportunity for landholders to treat weeds on their property,” Cr Claridge said.
“I encourage all landowners to apply and to do their part in controlling the spread of weeds.”
