The construction of Benalla’s splash park will be complete by the end of this week, with the concrete poured, water-play equipment installed and the pipework and services connected.

The splash park, which is on the banks of Lake Benalla near the Benalla Aquatic Centre and Visitor Information Centre, has been funded by the Victorian Government.

Mayor, Councillor Danny Claridge said the splash park will be a great asset to Benalla.

“Everyone is excited to see the splash park as it nears completion,” said Cr Claridge.

“The splash park will be a great community facility that will have many benefits for our town.”

Water features within the splash park include a low wall with blade sprays, tip and fill water play channels, water sprayers, a large bucket with rose filling spouts, water cannons, water arches and more.

Landscaping of the splash park site will take place after the cool winter months and in time for the park to be ready for full use by next summer.
