A Total Fire Ban has been declared for the North East fire district on Thursday 5 and Friday 6 February 2026.
No fires can be lit, or be allowed to remain alight, in the open air from 12:01AM until 11:59PM.

An additional Council Meeting will be held from 6pm Wednesday 1 October 2025 to consider the Tender CM25.067 Design and Construct – Fawckner Drive, Benalla Pump Track.
The scheduled Finance and Planning Committee meeting will start at the completion of the additional Council Meeting.
