The Council is seeking nominations for its Australia Day and Benalla Festival Advisory Committees.
Australia Day Advisory Committee
The Australia Day Advisory Committee assists the Council with the Australia Day award nominations, selection process and program development for the Australia Day award ceremony.
Nominations are invited from interested community members and district representatives from the following districts, Baddaginnie, Goomalibee, Lima/Swanpool, Molyullah, Warrenbayne, and Winton to fill current vacancies for a three-year term.
Benalla Festival Advisory Committee
The Benalla Festival is held annually in November as a celebration of the Benalla Rural City lifestyle, its community and country living.
Nominations are invited from interested community members for positions on the Committee to help plan and promote the Festival.
Appointments to the Committee are for a three-year term.
Terms of Reference and nomination forms for both Advisory Committees can be accessed via Council’s website or collected from the Customer Service Centre, 1 Bridge Street East, Benalla.
Nominations close 5pm Wednesday 27 May 2026.
