Get ready for fun in the sun – the Benalla Splash Park will reopen on Friday, 31 October 2025, just in time to coincide with the Spooktacular Festival Kick-Off and the opening night of the 2025 Benalla Festival.
A favourite for families, friends, and visitors, the Splash Park offers the perfect way to cool off and enjoy the outdoors in a safe and engaging environment. Located on the Lake Benalla Foreshore near the iconic Ceramic Mural and easily accessible from Mair Street, the Splash Park will be open daily from 9am to 8pm.
Mayor Cr Bernie Hearn said, “The Splash Park is such a special place for our community. It’s fantastic to see it reopening just as the warmer weather arrives, offering families and visitors a fun, safe, and welcoming space to enjoy the outdoors.”
While enjoying the Splash Park, Council encourages visitors to stay sun smart – apply sunscreen, wear a hat, sunglasses and protective clothing, take breaks in the shade, and stay hydrated.
The reopening of the Splash Park is the perfect complement to the Spooktacular Festival Kick-Off, featuring:
- Live music by Adam Toms at the Visitor Information Centre
- Free community BBQ hosted by the Rotary Club of Benalla
- A free spooky screening of Hocus Pocus at Benalla Cinema
- Extra Splash Park fun – bring a change of clothes if you’re staying for the movie
- Halloween costume fun with giveaways for the best dressed!
“The Festival Kick-Off is a wonderful way for the community to come together, celebrate, and enjoy an evening full of food, music, and Halloween fun.
We can’t wait to see families making memories at both the Splash Park and festival activities,” Cr Hearn said.
The family-friendly event runs 5pm–8pm on Friday 31 October 2025 at 14 Mair Street, Benalla. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and free cinema tickets are available on the night only (first in, first served).
