Benalla’s much-loved Free Christmas Busking program is back, and it’s starting earlier than ever.

From Silver Saturday, 14 November, right through to Christmas Eve, Bridge Street East will come alive with local talent, filling the town centre with festive tunes and good cheer.

This year’s early start ties in with the launch of the Christmas Cheer Giving Campaign, giving locals even more reasons to head into town and soak up the season.

To apply go to Council’s Customer Portal, selecting the “Local Law Permit” option. For the free busking permit please ensure you click the option “fee waiver required” WITH REASON “Free Busking Council Initiative”.

You will then receive email confirmation of submission, please note that this confirmation is not your permit. Council will review your application typically within two working days and a permit will be issued via email.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call 03 5760 2600 and ask for Jenni or Michelle from the Compliance Department.

Then look for the pavement decals showing the Busker Base locations around town.
