Benalla Library – Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Learning Centre
The Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Learning Centre (Benalla Library) is a modern and welcoming community resource. Benalla Library promotes lifelong learning and literacy through its delivery of a range of programs. The Benalla Library is located at 2 Fawckner Drive, Benalla.
You can use the online library service with your library card, which has your member number for login. You’ll need to visit the library to pick up and drop off books. We do have a limited mobile service.

Benalla Library offers:
- free membership with access to resources from over 100 libraries across Victoria
- books, magazines, DVDs and audio books
- access to movies, documentaries, recorded children’s story-times, eBooks, eAudiobooks, eNewspapers, and digital comic books on your smartphone or device
- free Wi-Fi
- access to computers, photocopying, scanning, printing and faxing
- meeting rooms for hire – contact the Library for more information and to make a booking.
- Benalla Library has a regular program of activities for both adults and children.

Benalla Library Social Narrative
Social Narrative
Benalla Library has introduced a Social Narrative to create a more inclusive environment, reducing barriers for neurodiverse patrons. This tool uses accessible language and visuals to help individuals navigate the library with confidence, providing detailed information about the library experience, including travel directions and building layout. Visitors are encouraged to read the Social Narrative two weeks in advance to better prepare for their library visit.
