Be Part of What Makes Benalla Festival Special
The Benalla Festival is a much‑loved annual celebration of our region—bringing together locals and visitors to enjoy live music, food, arts, community activities and everything that makes Benalla Rural City unique.
Delivered each November, the Festival showcases our lifestyle, creativity and strong community spirit. Behind the scenes, the Benalla Festival Advisory Committee plays an important role in shaping the vision, direction and delivery of this flagship event.
The 2026 Benalla Festival will run from Saturday 31 October to Sunday 8 November.
We’re inviting community members with an interest in events, culture and community celebration to nominate to join the Committee and help guide the future of the Benalla Festival.
Benalla Festival Advisory Committee – Call for Nominations
The Benalla Festival Advisory Committee supports Council by:
- contributing ideas for festival programming and activities
- helping shape the overall vision and direction of the Festival
- strengthening community involvement and local partnerships
- supporting promotion and engagement across the region
Committee members provide valuable local insight to ensure the Festival continues to reflect the character, creativity and diversity of Benalla Rural City.
Who should nominate?
Nominations are encouraged from people who:
- are passionate about community events and celebrations
- have experience or interest in arts, music, food, tourism or event delivery
- enjoy working collaboratively and sharing ideas
- have a connection to Benalla or the surrounding district
You don’t need formal event experience—just enthusiasm, local knowledge and a commitment to helping the Festival thrive.
Appointments are for a three‑year term, with meetings held periodically in the lead‑up to the Festival.

The Benalla Festival Advisory Committee assists Council to help plan, promote and organise the Festival. Membership is for a three-year term.
