• Visitor Information Centre
  Share your local knowledge and provide a warm welcome to visitors.
• Benalla Art Gallery
  Help showcase one of Australia’s premier regional art galleries.
• Benalla Cinema
  Support the cinema while connecting with fellow movie enthusiasts.
• Benalla Library
  Opportunities to volunteer at the Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Centre and RedB4 bookshop. 
• Botanical Gardens and Parks
  Join the team keeping our heritage-listed gardens beautiful.
• TAC L2P Learner Driver Program
  Mentor young drivers to gain the hours needed for their licence.

How to Become a Volunteer

Getting started as a volunteer is easy! Follow these steps to make a difference in your community:

1. Complete an Application Form
   Submit your form online or via email at council@benalla.vic.gov.au. You may also deliver it in person to our Customer Service Centre.
2. Attend an Interview
   Discuss your interests and the opportunities that suit you best.
3. Complete Background Checks
   Some roles require Police Checks or Working With Children Checks. The Council covers any costs.
4. Attend an Induction
   Learn everything you need to get started safely and confidently.
5. Begin Volunteering!

Support is provided every step of the way to ensure you have a positive and rewarding experience.
