Benalla Rural City is proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week from 5–12 July 2026, honouring the strength, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year’s theme, 50 Years Deadly, recognises five decades of resilience, leadership and community pride.

Flag Raising Ceremony

Begin the day with a community flag raising ceremony as we come together to acknowledge Country and celebrate NAIDOC Week.
Lakeside Community Centre Family Fun Day
From 11am Benalla Showgrounds, via Arundel Street Benalla
The Family Fun Day will feature cultural activities, entertainment and opportunities to learn, share and connect.

- 11.30am onwards Activities, entertainment and food
This free community event welcomes everyone. Enjoy children’s activities, live music, cultural displays, community stalls and delicious food throughout the day.
