Youth Mental Health First Aid training

Benalla Rural City Council, in partnership with the Live4Life program, is inviting community members to take part in upcoming Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training – a practical, evidence‑based course that equips adults with the skills to recognise and respond to mental health challenges in young people.

YMHFA training enables participants to identify early signs of mental distress or crisis and provide initial support until appropriate professional help can be accessed. Those who complete all components of the course become accredited Mental Health First Aiders, able to assist young people with confidence, compassion and informed understanding.

The training will be held over four evening sessions:

  • 5pm-9pm, Monday 4 May 2026
  • 5pm-9pm, Monday 11 May 2026
  • 5pm-9pm, Monday 18 May 2026
  • 5pm-9pm, Monday 25 May 2026

Location: Tomorrow Today Foundation, 66 Nunn Street, Benalla.

Benalla Rural City Council through the Live4Life Benalla partnership is offering this training at a subsidised rate of $25 per participant.
