Benalla Rural City Council is reminding community members, local businesses, creatives and organisations that Expressions of Interest to host an event as part of the 2026 Benalla Festival will close at 5pm on Friday 7 August.
The Benalla Festival returns from 31 October to 8 November 2026, bringing two vibrant weekends of activities, performances and community‑led experiences. With planning well underway, Council is encouraging anyone with an idea for an event to submit their proposal before the deadline.
Benalla Festival Advisory Committee Chair, Cr Justin King, said now is the time for anyone considering hosting an event to take the next step.
“Expressions of Interest are closing soon, and if you’ve been thinking about hosting an event, now is the time to act,” Cr King said.
“The Benalla Festival is strengthened by the ideas and enthusiasm of our community. We’ve already seen some fantastic concepts come forward, and we’d love to see even more. Support is available, and we encourage anyone with an idea to get involved.”
