Benalla Rural City Council is reminding residents, businesses, and community organisations that time is running out to provide feedback on the proposed 2025/26 Budget and draft Revenue and Rating Plan 2025-2029. The feedback period will close on Wednesday 28 May 2025.
Mayor Cr Bernie Hearn is urging the community to take this opportunity to help shape the final budget and plan by sharing their thoughts and insights.
“The feedback we receive from you is critical. It ensures the proposed 2025/26 Budget and draft Revenue and Rating Plan reflect the needs and aspirations of our community,” said Mayor Cr Hearn.
“Whether you’re a resident, a local business, or part of a community group, your voice matters. This is your chance to help shape the decisions that affect us all.”
The proposed Budget and Rating Plan outline the Council’s planned initiatives, services, and financial priorities for the coming financial year as well as the broader 2025-2029 period. Community feedback will directly influence the final documents, which are scheduled for adoption after the consultation period.
“The future of our community is something we all have a stake in,” added Mayor Cr Hearn.
“Your feedback helps us plan for a stronger, more vibrant Benalla Rural City that benefits everyone.”
