Mastering AI to boost digital skills

Benalla Rural City Council is inviting community members, students, volunteers and local businesses to take part in a practical workshop designed to build confidence in using artificial intelligence (AI) and show how modern digital tools can support everyday tasks.

The Mastering AI Tools Workshop will introduce participants to widely used AI platforms including ChatGPT, Copilot, Excel and PowerPoint. Attendees will learn how to write effective prompts, streamline routine work and apply AI in real‑world business and workplace scenarios. All resources and materials will be provided.

The workshop supports Council’s commitment to strengthening digital confidence and lifelong learning across the community. It offers a welcoming space for people to explore how AI can assist with work, study and business activities, with opportunities to learn, ask questions and try new skills in a friendly, practical environment.

Residents are encouraged to book early, as places are limited. The session is free to attend and ideal for anyone curious about AI or looking to build their digital capability.

This training is supported by Benalla Rural City Council and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DECCA) Forestry Transition Fund.
