New bin baskets have landed on public bins across Benalla, giving everyone a simple way to deposit their 10c containers or put a little cash back into community pockets.
The baskets are part of the Victorian Container Deposit Scheme (CDS). They sit on the side of public bins and are there for the whole community to use.
The bin baskets are easy to use. If you have a 10c eligible container, pop it in the basket for others to collect and cash in. Or, if you spot containers already sitting in a basket, you can grab them and cash them in yourself.
Head to the Foott Benalla CDS deposit station at 22 Irwin Road, Benalla. Every eligible container is worth 10c.
