Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy

The Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy outlines Benalla Rural City Council’s commitment to protecting children from abuse and harm, ensuring compliance with child safety standards and ethical practices.

The Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy explains what Council must do to keep children safe from abuse and harm. It follows the laws and rules created to protect children and young people in Victoria including criminal law, the Child Safe Standards (the Standards) and the Reportable Conduct Scheme (the Scheme) and existing mandatory reporting (child protection) requirements.
