Benalla Rural City Council has placed its draft Benalla Rural City Council Financial Plan 2025/26 to 2034/35 on public exhibition, inviting community members to review the document and provide their feedback.
The draft Financial Plan 2025/26 to 2034/35 outlines Council’s long-term financial position, strategies and priorities, ensuring resources are directed to where they are most needed across the municipality.
Benalla Rural City Council Mayor, Cr Bernie Hearn said community input is an important part of shaping Council’s future financial planning.
“Our draft Financial Plan 2025/26 to 2034/35 provides a clear framework for how Council will manage resources over the next decade,” Cr Hearn said.
“It balances the delivery of essential services and infrastructure with the need to remain financially sustainable. We want to hear from our community to ensure that the priorities we’ve identified reflect their needs and expectations.”
Cr Hearn asks residents to take the time to review the draft Plan and share their thoughts.
“Community feedback plays a key role in helping us make informed decisions,” Cr Hearn said.
“By working together, we can ensure that Benalla Rural City continues to grow, while maintaining the services and facilities that support the wellbeing of our community.”
A copy of the draft Benalla Rural City Council Financial Plan 2025/26 to 2034/35 can be downloaded from www.haveyoursay.benalla.vic.gov.au. It can also be viewed at or obtained from Council’s Customer Service Centre, 1 Bridge Street, Benalla, between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
