Benalla Rural City Council is inviting residents to provide feedback on the draft Benalla Rual City Council Road Management Plan 2025–2029, which is now open for public consultation.
The draft Road Management Plan 2025–2029 outlines how Council manages and maintains roads and footpaths across the municipality, ensuring they remain safe, accessible, and maintained within available resources.
It details road classifications, maintenance standards, inspection timeframes, and response targets, and gives the community an opportunity to nominate roads for inclusion in the Public Roads Register.
Community input is an important part of shaping the future of Benalla’s road network.
Residents are encouraged to review the draft plan and provide feedback on any elements they believe could be improved or updated.
A copy of the draft Benalla Rual City Council Road Management Plan 2025–2029 can be downloaded from www.haveyoursay.benalla.vic.gov.au.
It can also be viewed at or obtained from Council’s Customer Service Centre, 1 Bridge Street, Benalla, between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday.
Any person who wishes to make a submission on the draft Benalla Rural City Council Road Management Plan 2025–2029 can do so my completing the online submission form, sending a written submission to Benalla Rural City Council, PO Box 227, Benalla VIC 3672, or emailing it to council@benalla.vic.gov.au.
Submissions close at 5pm on Thursday 11 September 2025.
