Last chance to have your say on Benalla Rural City Council’s draft plans

10 September 2025

Time is running out to provide feedback on four key documents for Benalla Rural City. With consultation closing soon, residents, businesses and community groups are encouraged to share their views before submissions close.

On exhibition are the drafts of the Benalla Rural City Council Plan 2025–2029, Asset Plan 2025–2029, Asset Management Policy, Financial Plan 2025/26 to 2034/35, and Road Management Plan 2025–2029.

Mayor Cr Bernie Hearn said the plans were critical in guiding how Council will manage infrastructure, services, finances and priorities over the coming years.

“These documents affect all of us,” Cr Hearn said.

“They cover the services we rely on, the facilities we use and the roads we travel. Your feedback will help ensure they reflect the needs of our community.

“Whether you agree with what’s proposed or have ideas for improvement, we want to hear from you. Every submission helps build a stronger, more sustainable and liveable Benalla Rural City,” Cr Hearn said.

All documents can be viewed online at www.haveyoursay.benalla.vic.gov.au along with the submissions form. Submissions can be made by completing the online form, via email to council@benalla.vic.gov.au or by post to Benalla Rural City Council, PO Box 227, Benalla VIC 3672.

Hard copies are available from Council’s Customer Service Centre at 1 Bridge Street East, Benalla, between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Submissions can be made until 5pm Thursday 11 September 2025.
