Holiday Kerbside Collection Changes

Kerbside bin collection days will change during the Christmas and New Year period.

Changes to collection dates

• Thursday 25 December collections will occur on Wednesday 24 December
• Thursday 1 January collections will occur on Wednesday 31 December

Residents are asked to put bins out one day earlier than usual during these weeks.

All other collections unchanged

Regular kerbside collection schedules will continue as normal outside of the dates listed above.

Important reminders

• Please place your bin out the night before your scheduled collection day to avoid a missed service.
• Due to the altered schedule, bins may be collected at a different time of day than usual.

Standard Service Information

Benalla Rural City Council kerbside waste collection services are contracted to Foott Waste. 

Urban Waste Collection

• Weekly: Organic (green waste) bins are collected weekly.
• Fortnightly: Recycling (yellow bins) and general waste (red bins) are emptied on alternating fortnights.

Rural Waste Collection

• Weekly: General waste (red bins).
• Fortnightly: Recycling (yellow bins).
• Note that rural properties do not receive green waste services.
