Event Details:

Date:  Friday 1 December 2023

Time: 5pm - 9pm

The highlight of the evening will be the ceremonial lighting of the town Christmas tree, creating a radiant centrepiece for the festivities. The event will also feature the unveiling of the new Christmas precinct at the Splash Park and Ceramic Mural, adding a magical touch to this beloved community space.

Mayor Cr Danny Claridge expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, "Christmas is a time to come together as a community, and I am delighted to be a part of an event that fosters unity and celebration.

“This year's festivities promise to bring joy and warmth to everyone," Cr Claridge said.

Event Highlights:

  • Live music on the deck by the talented Chloe Jade.
  • Face painting, craft activities, and giant games for all ages.
  • Enjoy a delicious FREE BBQ provided by the Rotary Club of Benalla.
  • Embrace the Christmas spirit with a visit from Santa, giveaways, and DIY photo opportunities.

In a heartwarming tribute to a local resident, Madeline, The Lockie Project will be selling Madeline Angel Christmas decorations. All proceeds will go towards supporting the Alannah and Madeline Foundation, a cause dear to Madeline’s family and the Benalla community.

Cr Claridge added, "It's heartening to see our community come together not just for celebration but also to support a meaningful cause. The Lockie Project's initiative to raise funds for the Alannah and Madeline Foundation is a beautiful way to honour the memory of Madeline and contribute to the well-being of others."

Join us on 1 December at the Benalla Splash Park and Ceramic Mural Precinct for a magical evening that captures the spirit of Christmas, community, and giving.
