Library Services

The Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Learning Centre (Benalla Library) is a modern and welcoming community resource. Benalla Library promotes lifelong learning and literacy through its delivery of a range of programs.

Benalla Library offers:

  • Free membership with access to resources from over 100 libraries across Victoria
  • Books, magazines, DVDs and audio books
  • Access to movies, documentaries, recorded children’s story-times, eBooks, eAudiobooks, eNewspapers, and digital comic books on your smartphone or device
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Access to computers, photocopying, scanning, printing and faxing

     

    Benalla Library has a regular program of activities for both adults and children.

    Storytime occurs every Monday and Friday at 10:30am. 
    Maximum is 10 so bookings are required by phoning 03 5762 2069.

Due to COVID restrictions, sessions are suspended when lockdowns occur. Kids and Adult programs have changed and we are working towards alternate ways to deliver activities, including the introduction of children’s takehome craft packs and activities after Storytime. The Benalla Library is located at 2 Fawckner Drive, Benalla. You can use the online library service with your library card, which has your member number for login. You’ll need to visit the library to pick up and drop off books. We do have a limited mobile service.
