The Benalla L2P Program has celebrated the success of twin siblings graduating with probationary driver licences.

Twins Tom and Mikaela Moloney, 18, completed their 120 hours mandatory driving practice with volunteer mentor driver Graeme Pitts and received their probationary driver licences on 13 and 16 March 2018, respectively.

The L2P Program is a state-wide initiative funded by the TAC, managed by VicRoads and delivered by the Council. The Program assists learner drivers’ aged 16-21 get driving experience.

Mikaela worked with Graeme for eight months to get her licence.

“Graeme was a great driving teacher and I am really thankful to him for helping me,” Mikaela said. “He can put his stress ball away now.”

The Benalla L2P Program is possible due to the generosity of community volunteer drivers and the Benalla Value Auto Group, which supplies the car and which is the major sponsor of the Benalla L2P Program

Mikaela is the 55th learner driver to gain experience in the L2P vehicle.
