Benalla Seniors Festival

During the month of October, there will be a range of free or low-cost events under the Festival theme of LEARN. LOVE. LIVE. in Benalla and surrounding rural areas.

We are planning some exciting events for Benalla residents. These include:

Movie & Choc Top: 100 Foot Journey (PG)

Morning Tea and Movie: The Miracle Club (PG)

Pleasant Sunday Afternoon

The Beatlez Tribute Show

Movie Screening and Choc Top: Calendar Girls (PG)

Free Lunch and Information Session: Online Safety and Cyber Security

 

About the Festival

The Victorian Seniors Festival is a major state-wide festival for seniors. For more than 40 years, the festival has provided opportunities for senior Victorians to participate in a range of activities and events to connect with their community.

This annual festival returns in October 2023, featuring:

  • live and local events across the state, delivered by local councils, community groups and clubs
  • eight days of free public transport for Victorian Seniors Card holders from 1 to 8 October 2023
  • return of flagship events held in Melbourne’s CBD and regional Victoria including:
      - Celebration Day at Federation Square on Sunday 1 October,1-7pm. This event will launch the festival with a 6-hour line-up of free entertainment and activities for older Victorians
      - Town Hall Dances at Melbourne Town Hall on Monday 2 October from 12pm (midday) and Hawthorn Town Hall on Friday 6 October from 7pm
      - ACMI Seniors Film Festival at the Australian Centre of the Moving Image from 2-8 October
      - Country Tour delivering live entertainment across regional towns in October
      - Aged Care Tour, taking the magic, music and fun of the festival to aged care residents across Victoria throughout September and October.
