Are you interested in holding an event as part of the 2023 Benalla Festival?
The Benalla Festival Advisory Committee is now taking expressions of interest from interested individuals, groups and organisations to run an event or activity as part of the Benalla Festival program.
A celebration of Benalla Rural City’s lifestyle, country living and community spirit, the Benalla Festival is a community collaboration to celebrate and embrace all that is great about our region through music, dance, art, history, sport, family attractions, exhibitions and much more.
Running for over 50 years, the festival is a major event on the Benalla Rural City community calendar. This year, commemorating with the theme ‘Celebrating our Past, Present, Future.’
Cr Justin King, Chair of the Benalla Festival Advisory Committee, said the Benalla Festival provided a chance for the community to come together and celebrate.
“The Festival allows us to celebrate what it means to be a part of our community, tying nicely into this year’s theme Celebrating our Past, Present, Future,” Cr King said.
“We rely on the community to help us bring The Festival to life.
“We are now taking an expression of interest for individuals, groups and organisations to run an event or activity as part of The Festival.
“The application process easier than ever, we are excited to launch a brand-new Festival website – a one stop spot for all things Festival.
“For now, on the page you will find the expression of interest application form and event guidelines, but as the event nears the page will be updated with a full program of events and everything you need to know about The Festival,” Cr King said.
This year’s festival program will highlight our rural communities with events across our rural townships during the first weekend from Saturday 4 to Sunday 5 November. The second weekend will feature events in Benalla from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 November.
