Ewen McLean - Goomalibee Achiever of the Year

Since moving to the Goomalibee district in 2015 Ewen has been actively involved in the Goomalibee CFA and held a 1st, 2nd and 3rd Lieutenant position. In the 2019-20 bush fires Ewen was deployed to Batemans Bay and the Corryong fires.

Ewen recently organised the Meet Your Neighbour and Prepare your Property for this season's program.

Ewen is President of Goomalibee Landcare and is a mentor for the Tomorrow Today Foundation’s Connect 9 Program and through his agricultural business he has taken on a school based apprentice from Benalla P-12 College.

Ewen is a member of the 18th Victorian Mounted Rifles Light Horse Troop, North East Victoria. This troop re-enacts in full light horse uniform at events such as Anzac Day parades at the Devenish Silo Art and Benalla Remembrance Day services.

Ewen is highly regarded in the Goomalibee community.
